Salvation

Salvation is defined as being delivered, by God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), from sin and its consequence of eternal punishment and being raised to newness of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:4). Salvation is a free gift from God to those who repent and, by faith, receive Jesus alone as personal Savior and Lord (John 1:12).

God is the One Who created the world and all that is in it, including you and me. He is the One in charge of how everything works.  He created us to have relationship with HIM.

We sinned

However, we messed up. Adam and Eve sinned, which gave all of us the desire to be selfish and choose wrong. Sin is anything we do that goes against God’s commands set for us in the bible. We are all sinners . . . and sin cannot enter heaven. In fact, sin deserves death.

God made a way

The good news is that God made a way for us to go to heaven. He sent His Son Jesus, who lived a perfect life, to die in our place. When Jesus was on the cross, He took the full wrath of God upon Himself . . . the wrath that we deserved. But Jesus didn’t stay dead! He rose again and now lives back in heaven. Because He died in our place, we can go to heaven.

The ABC’s of Salvation

· A- Admit that you are a sinner. You don’t need saving if you don’t think you do anything wrong.

· B- Believe that Jesus died for you. Believe that He is the ONLY way to heaven.

· C- Confess and Choose. Confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior of your life.   Choose to follow His example in the Bible

Romans 10:9-13 (ESV) 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Are you ready to accept Jesus?

If so, say the prayer below out loud. Make sure it’s from your heart. These are not words to say without meaning. God wants us to be sincere whenever we approach Him.

Salvation Prayer

Dear Lord,

I confess that I am a sinner and ask that you would forgive me for all of my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and God raised Jesus from the dead so that I may be saved from sin. Today I acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life. I want to live the rest of my life for Him. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
