Salvation

Salvation is defined as being delivered, by God's grace (Ephesians 2:8-9), from sin and its consequence of eternal punishment and being raised to newness of life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:4). Salvation is a free gift from God to those who repent and, by faith, receive Jesus alone as their personal Savior and Lord (John 1:12). We were created by God to serve Him and others.

Sin Entered In

However, Adam and Eve sinned, which gave all of us the desire to be self-centered and choose wrong. Sin is anything we do that goes against God’s commands set for us in the bible. ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God . . . and sin cannot enter heaven. In fact, sin deserves death. Romans 6:23

God made a way

He sent His Son, Jesus, who lived a perfect life to die in our place. When Jesus was on the cross, He took the the sins of the WORLD upon Himself. The great news is that Jesus didn’t stay dead! He rose again and is now with God in heaven.

The ABCs of Salvation

· A Admit that you are a sinner. You don’t need saving if you don’t think you did anything wrong.

· B Believe that Jesus died for you. Believe that He is the ONLY way to heaven. Acts 16:30-31

· C Confess and Choose. Confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior of your life.   Choose to follow His example in the Bible

Romans 10:9-13 (ESV) 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Are you ready to accept Jesus?

If so, say the prayer below out loud. Make sure it’s from your heart. These are not words to say without sincerity. God wants us to be serious whenever we approach Him.

Salvation Prayer

Dear Lord,

I confess that I am a sinner and ask that you would forgive me for all of my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and God raised Jesus from the dead so that I may be saved from sin. Today, I acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life. I want to live the rest of my life for Him. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
